Report on the Inaugural Programme of the Two-Day International Conference on Humanities and Social Sciences (ICHSS)

The Two-Day International Conference on Humanities and Social Sciences (ICHSS) was inaugurated on 30th July 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Conference Hall, Higher and Technical Institute, Mizoram (HATIM). The event was jointly organized by the Center for Humanities and Social Science Research (CHSSR) and HATIM.

The programme began with registration from 9:30 AM to 10:15 AM, followed by the inaugural session. The session was chaired by Dr. John C. Lalduhsaka, Convener of ICHSS. The Guest of Honour, Rev. Vanlalmuankima, Associate General Secretary (Service) of the Baptist Church of Mizoram, delivered a special speech at 10:40 AM

A significant highlight of the programme was the Keynote Address by Dr. Sabitra Kaphle, Senior Academician from Central Queensland University, Australia.

Following the inaugural programme, the Plenary Session commenced at 11:30 AM with Dr. Lalhminghlua, Organising Member of ICHSS, as Chairperson. The session featured Prof. NVR Jyoti Kumar, Senior Professor (HAG), Department of Commerce, Mizoram University, as the Resource Person.
